Ich wollte hier Mal im Auftrag von der in Australien lebenden amerikanischen Malerin Meg Maples ihren Workshop in Dortmund vom 4.-5.11. bewerben. Der Workshop wird auf Englisch geführt. Update: Der Kurs in Berlin wurde gecancelt und nach Dortmund verlegt, auf Grund von zu wenig Anmeldungen.

"Dortmund Color Theory & Light Class (Intermediate)

This class will be held on November 4th and 5th, 2017 from 9am to 7pm at ‎Zalando SE Hörder Hafenstrasse 3 44263 Dortmund. 

The location for the class is in a secure building so we need to have a list of names ahead of time to provide to security. Additionally, there is a break room available with free drinks, foosball table, ping pong table, pool table, PS4 and Wii. Some snacks and small meals are available on site for a small fee. Eateries are nearby if anyone needs to leave the premise for lunch. If you have any immediate questions regarding the location, please contact Petra Lehrmann. 

Both Mark Soley and Meg Maples will be teaching the class together which means increased one on one time with instructors during the class. 

Every student will be receiving a copy of a resin bust from FeR Miniatures that is already cleaned, primed and glued to a plinth for each student. This is included in the cost of the ticket. The ticket price is Australia Dollar $290 which is around 195‎€ depending on exchange rate on the day of purchase. 

This class is designed for students who area already comfortable with their technique and painting but need some help in understanding color theory and how lighting effects should be applied. This means we will go over atmospheric light as well as Object Source Lighting. 

The first day of class is spent introducing Color Theory from the foundations of beginner's level color theory to more intermediate mixing concepts. This will be presented during Power Point lecture sprinkled with hands on mixing exercises during the class. Once all of the concepts have been introduced, students will prime their light source on the model using white primer and we will discuss plans with every student prior to practical application. 

The entire second day will be spent painting and helping students execute their desired paint scheme. 

Mark and I will also be available to show some painting techniques if students have any questions as well as painting our own copies of the busts as an example of how to mix colors to achieve the desired lighting effect."
