Soweit sollte eigentlich keine zusätzlichen Gebühren anfallen wenn man bei Mantic in € bestellt, eben weil es kein direktes 1:1 (aus diesem Grund hat zB Warlord Games jetzt auch € als Währung im eigenen Shop wo vorher nur GBP und $ möglich war)

die Händler wären an sich Einfuhrumsatzsteuer pflichtig, wobei sie ja ohne Steuer bestellen wäre wenn dann nur Zollgebühren

 

Frage ist eher ob Zoll anfallen würde, da es sich um Waren handelt die aus England kommen und hier nicht hergestellt werden eher nicht.

 

An sich weis es aber niemand wirklich genau weil eben die Behörden in GB selbst nicht wissen was alles zu tun ist bzw wie das zu handhaben ist dementsprechend wissen die Händler/Hersteller da noch weniger

Salutations Scoundrels,

Apologies that this update has taken so long - it's been a very busy start to the year here at Mantic, which meant getting all the information together has taken a little longer than expected. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the specific boat names (for those that like to track the boats) but the good news is that they are just about to arrive!

Here are the expected arrival dates for the various shipping hubs (assuming there are no further hold ups at ports, which are exceptionally busy at the moment):

• UK/Europe/RoW - week commencing February 8th
• USA - week commencing February 1st
• Australia/New Zealand - week commencing February 1st
• Canada - week commencing February 8th

Once the pledges have arrived at the hubs, it can then take a couple of weeks to sort out the picking lines and upload the addresses to the shipping managers. This means we're expecting shipping for the standard pledges to start in the middle of February. 

IF YOU HAVE ORDERED RESINS - if you have ordered any resins miniatures in your order, these will be sent separately from the rest of your pledge. We're expecting to ship these after the pledges have been sent out. This is likely to be March. The resin miniatures are being sent directly from our UK warehouse.

Arguably, one of the best things about Mantic’s games are the incredible communities that thrive around them. One of Kings of War’s best is a man named Jesse Cornwell. Jesse has been a crucial part of the fun and positivity that surround the game today. He embodies the light hearted nature of tabletop gaming with an endless supply of wit and humor that has graced many of you with smiles and laughter. Winning practically every ‘best sport’ trophy the tournaments he’s played in, even his opponents agree: win or lose, Jesse makes sure you’re having fun while playing the game.

 

 

Jesse is fighting a harrowing battle with cancer. At Mantic, we decided to honor his countless contributions to the game with a new model from his favorite faction, Ogres. Not only that, we wanted his direct input on the design process. With the Ogre Warlock in need of a new model, this was the perfect opportunity to put our heads together and make something extra cool.

 

 

Anyone familiar with Jesse’s antics will undoubtedly recognize certain pizza related deity symbolism in both the belt and staff. This is also present in Jesse’s extremely popular magic item, Sir Jesse’s Boots of Striding. He felt it was also important to include trinkets and trophies from the Ogres’ mercenary work, throwing in a personal jab to his brother and myself with a Twilight Kin bracer dangling from the staff. I’ve lost to him enough times to agree that this is entirely appropriate.

 

There’s the paw of a Gur Panther to represent the frequent Ogre cooperation with the Basileans and a shell dangling from its belt to show a bond with the Trident Realm. On the back of the model is a skull, representing the heavy disdain for Undead. Jesse loves the lore in Pannithor and took his task of designing a model that would fit right in. Personally, I love the nod to some of his favorite opponents over the years.

 

 

I met Jesse at Adepticon in 2017 where he was matched up against me in round 5. His Ogres took victory in the Dominate scenario over my Twilight Kin setting up a rivalry and deep friendship that will stand the test of time. I’m so incredibly proud of the impact he has had on the thousands of Kings of War fans all over the world. His Mammoth contributions will always be a part of the game.

 

I’ve always felt that while none of us are here forever, our deeds and actions live on. Many of you have stories and unforgettable interactions with Jesse over the years. Please share them with friends and family and especially those new players you welcome into the game. Always find a way to make your opponent smile and make a lasting memory from your encounter. That’s the best of what Jesse represents. When we first met, he jokingly asked if I could make him famous…

 

Mission accomplished, buddy.

 

The Ogre Warlock model will be available from Mantic Games later this year. We recommend a nice coat of glossy finish to make it extra ‘sweaty'

Ratten waren nie meine Armee, aber was Mantic hier liefert ist doch allerhand in meinen Augen. Auch die Ersparnis der Boxen klingt für mich fair.

Ich habe zwar schon genug Ratten hier rumfliegen, aber gerade die Krieger sagen mir echt zu. Die könnten es vielleicht als Sklaven zu mir schaffen. Auch die Schwärme, Tangle und die Hackpaws sehen ale super aus. Nur die Nightmares, Broodmother und die Tunnelrunners sehen mir zu sehr nach SF aus, was ja auch Sinn macht ...

Insgesamt aber sehr positiv überrasch, was sie aus der Linie gemacht haben. Mal schauen, was als nächstes kommt ...

Mantic wollen ein paar Sachen eben auch direkt Verkaufen und für KoW Spieler ist das nicht dramatisch, da 1. manche der genannten Modelle in der Ratkin Army und Ratkin Mega Army enthalten ist und 2. man sich auch das Vanguard Ratkin Warband Starter Set sowie das Vanguard Ratkin Warband Booster Set holen könnte, um die Modelle zu bekommen, wobei es die Birthing Daughter sogar einzeln gibt.

Generell holen sich KoW Spieler eher multiple Army Boxen, als einzelne Modelle, so zumindest meiner Erfahrung nach, da gibts nämlich am meisten "Bang for your Bucks"    ...

Upgrades sind immer web only

die einzelnen Helden kommen über die Boxen bzw Vanguard Sets und erst später einzeln

 

da diese in Resin sind und bei Mantic direkt hergestellt werden hat das sicher auch mit der aktuellen Situation zu tun das man Einzelmodelle nur über den eigenen Shop zur Vorbestellung anbietet

 

zum anderen macht das die Kombination aus Army+Mega Army attraktiver, zumindest für Vorbesteller

Es kommen wohl noch die großen Kriegsmaschinen, danach sind Ratten durch. 

 

Ich tippe darauf, dass sie sich als nächstes auf Halblinge konzentrieren - die sollten ja schon letztes Jahr als Armeeliste erscheinen.

zumindest für die Nightmares unwahrscheinlich, Mantic hat nur begrenzte Kapazitäten für Plastikgußrahmen und hier sind es eben Rattenoger für Deadzone

bei den anderen kann durchaus sein das später noch  neue Resin Modelle kommen

Ich glaube nicht, dass bei den Ratkin die Warpath-Modelle ersetzt werden. Die sind froh, dass sie die überhaupt schon mal haben ...

WHAT’S IN THE RULES?

Solo wargaming can never replace playing against a live opponent and will not be to everybody’s taste.  It does, however, offer the opportunity to familiarise players with the rules, trial different fleet builds and practise tactics.  During a time of Covid lockdown, solo gaming may also offer the only opportunity for some players to get their new fleets onto the gaming table.

 

The guide is divided into 2 parts:

Part 1 contains 2 stand-alone objective-based solo gaming scenarios.

Part 2 contains generic rules covering actions by enemy ships in ‘kill’ scenarios.  These rules can be used in any scenario involving kill missions but a number of scenarios are included as well as suggested enemy fleets.  A reference sheet covering enemy ship actions during their activations is included at the rear.
